Change Password in Auth0
November 5, 2024 MyMediabox is migrating our current authentication system to Auth0, a leading identity and access management provider. As part of the change, users are asked to set a new password during their first login to MyMediabox sites.
MyMediabox does not store users passwords in our database.
To set a new password, please follow the “Forgot password?” link in the login flow.
Instructions
When the Auth0 feature is turned on, a user gets redirected to the enter email page, which is now provided by Auth0.
At the top of the page a banner is shown to prompt users to reset their password.
- To reset their password, the user enters their email and presses continue.
- If a user is an SSO user, they get redirected to their authentication provider and no additional action is required.
- If a user is a password user, the user gets presented with an email, password prompt.
- At the username and password page, the user needs to press the Forgot Password? button.
- After pressing the “Forgot password?” button, the user is prompted for a confirmation.
- After pressing continue, a pop-up is shown and an email is sent to the user
- MyMediabox sends the user an email titled “Reset your password”
- In the email is a reset password link or a user can press the button CONFIRM to get redirected to the re-set password page.
- After the user resets their password, they can log in.
